🌟 Mythological Significance of Mata Vaishno Devi :-
According to legend, Mata Vaishno Devi took birth to uphold righteousness in the world. She performed intense meditation and penance in the Trikuta Hills. When Bhairavnath, a demon devotee of Lord Shiva, tried to chase her, the goddess took refuge in a cave and ultimately beheaded him. His soul was forgiven and granted a place near her temple.

1. Starting Point: Katra Town (base camp)
2. Total Trek: ~13 kilometers (8 miles) to the Bhawan (main shrine)
3. Main Stops Along the Trek:
Banganga: Where Mata quenched her thirst.
Charan Paduka: Where her footprints are enshrined.
Ardhkuwari: A cave where Mata meditated for 9 months.
Bhawan: The main cave shrine housing the three Pindis (stone forms of the goddess)
